The Best of 2022

Another year is coming to a close, and we wanted to share a few of our favorite projects, demonstrating the variety of materials and design options we offer. From shipping slabs to South Carolina to installing beautiful outdoor kitchens in Cape May, Garden State Soapstone continues to expand our services and craftsmanship.

Let us know which one you love the most in the comments.

Not only does this kitchen have a beautiful, oversized soapstone island, but it also has a custom apron-front farmhouse sink that will make cleaning up dishes simple because of the size. Also, with the large island, guests and family members can spend time together at the counter while you cook or clean. Everyone ends up in the kitchen anyway, so why not make it the best place to be?

Who needs to decorate when your counters and sink are a work of art? The veining on this slab is all you need to make the kitchen interesting. Another apron-front farmhouse sink steals the show, and you don’t need to add a single element to make it better. Of course, your kitchen will be your favorite room now.

The custom sinks just keep coming. Many times, we fabricated the countertop surrounding the sink with the same soapstone, but one homeowner chose a Mango Wood countertop. Other sinks were shipped across the country, and we know they looked great in any setting.

Soapstone for Restaurants

We came out and refinished this soapstone bar and high-top tables for the BORO Market, and we love witnessing how soapstone stands up against the wear and tear of a restaurant. Then we can refinish them to make them look brand new, so you don’t have to go out and buy new tables every few years.

Go Big or Go Home

This giant soapstone island is what kitchen dreams are made of. Can you imagine all the conversations at the counter and the space for baking cookies? We think this counter turned out beautifully, and we know these homeowners will put it to good use for decades.

Honed Marble Backsplash

We don’t just do soapstone at Garden State Soapstone: of course, we also offer marble, slate, wood, and other natural materials. We love the impact this honed marble backsplash and counter makes around the stove. This is definitely the focal point of the space.

Black Walnut Countertop

This beautiful countertop in Black Walnut has a mitered corner where the two pieces meet and makes this seam a design element of the kitchen instead of trying to hide the seam like manufactured patterns.

Why is a natural stone the sustainable choice?

When renovating a kitchen, you want to choose classic, high-quality countertops, cabinets, and appliances, so you don’t find yourself with another renovation in a few years. Natural stone and wood counters – like soapstone, slate, marble, pine, monkey wood, and others – make that possible. When you build a dream kitchen with beautiful natural stone, the next homeowner won’t want to tear it out, and your investment makes a difference in the long run.
