Introducing: The Original Wood Oil

Introducing: The Original Wood Oil

Garden State Soapstone, Slate & Wood Countertops, has developed a natural and organic oil: the Original Wood Oil. Like our original soapstone wax and soapstone oil, our wood oil was formulated to nourish and enhance surfaces using all natural and organic ingredients.

Our wood oil is a food safe blend of oils including Grapeseed Oil, Safflower Oil, and Elderberry Fruit Extract. It is odorless and tasteless.

About Garden State Soapstone’s Original Oil

Most oils made for countertops are mineral oils, which are petroleum-based substances. This is not a sustainable product. Additionally, not all food-grade oils work. Walnut oil is one of these. Despite increased popularity, it does not optimize the look and feel of countertops, and it’s also allergenic.

Grapeseed Oil

Grapeseed oil is healthy for consumers, easy to use, and additionally, doesn’t leave watermarks. This oil will give your countertop a shiny, wet look when first applied, and is easy to buff.

Safflower Oil

Safflower oil is known for its medicinal and health qualities. But of course, we’re talking about countertops! It’s an oil that has traditionally used on butcher block wood. Naturally non-drying, it hydrates and enhances surfaces.

Elderberry

Elderberry Extract is a natural, organic preservative.

How to Apply

With a clean, soft cloth, apply in a circular motion. With a second clean, soft cloth, wipe off any excess oil until the surface is dry to the touch. Wait at least 24 hours between applications. Use as often as you like to maintain the natural beauty and to protect the wood.

Wood oil comes in two sizes: a 4 oz. and a 16 oz.
